Classic Leadbuilder

Ranked by reactionsHi Darren, it was great connecting with you this morning. I shared with you some resources via our support ticket ending in 621. The Leadpages YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@LeadpagesSoftware/videos) will be helpful, and the "Products" dropdown on our website, Leadpages.com (https://share.leadpages.com/01a0e8db-e540-71aa-8670-90b3a4ef22c4) goes component-by-component to help you find what was familiar in Classic, now in the new builder.
Darren, the new builder is a lot more intuitive! You should join the onboarding call (you can find it on your dashboard bottom right corner) and have the team run you through it completely. It helped me a lot!
The Corporate Context: What Is Actually Happening • Owned by a Venture Portfolio: Leadpages is owned by a venture holding company called Redbrick. They are not shutting the platform down; in fact, Leadpages actively acquired a graphic design software called Glorify and rolled it into their operations. • Aggressive Staff Restructuring: Former employee reviews indicate that Redbrick dramatically overhauled the original team. A significant portion of the experienced staff, engineers, and support agents who built the old Leadpages were downsized or replaced over time. • The "Pivot or Die" Strategy: With general AI tools making basic web layout creation incredibly cheap, traditional landing page builders faced an existential threat. To survive, Leadpages chose a radical pivot: completely stripping away traditional template workflows and replacing them with autonomous AI page generation. The Problem for Long-Term Users While Leadpages is financially stable as a business entity, they have compromised user-friendliness for their legacy user base. By prioritising automated chatbots for customer service and forcing a conversational AI "Piper" interface onto the builder dashboard, they have alienated the long-term subscribers who valued predictability and precise manual control. They are essentially gambling that they can acquire new, novice users faster than they lose loyal, long-term subscribers who are frustrated by the sudden lack of traditional usability.
You are definitely not alone, and your frustration is entirely valid. The complete rebuilding of Leadpages into an AI-first platform has left many long-term users feeling stranded, confused, and alienated. The platform you used for years—which was valued for being a direct, reliable, and straightforward drag-and-drop builder—has completely changed its core workflow. Why It Feels So Distressing Right Now • A Forced Workflow Shift: Instead of letting you start with an intuitive canvas or template, the new dashboard aggressively funnels you into chatting with a conversational AI prompt. For long-term users who already know what they want to build, this extra layer feels like an unnecessary hurdle. • "AI Slop" & Clutter: A wave of users sharing your experience have taken to platforms like Trustpilot to complain that the tool has become overly complicated, mentioning issues with clunky generation, weird watermarks, and interfaces that feel less stable than the old system. • Customer Support Bottlenecks: Compounding the technical confusion, Leadpages replaced a lot of their upfront customer service with an automated AI bot. Long-term subscribers trying to fix problems report getting stuck in automated loops rather than reaching a human agent. • Pricing Disconnect: The separation of the product into "HTML Pub" (just for publishing) and "Leadpages Optimize" (for conversion tools) has altered plan limitations and caused widespread confusion regarding what features older accounts still have access to.
it is simple really, it is a totally dig=fferent user experience and somethign as simple as findout why some sections are wide rthan others result in a hunt through complex buttons and trying to find how I can set paddin gthe same etc, like the old classic builder. You have, I am sorry to say destoyed this platform and I believe (listenin gto other peoples comments) probabalydestroyed your business. The support has gone for 10 out of 10 to 2 out of 10. It is not your support peoples fault they are trying so desparately to help, but you can tell they are just so understaffed.
Hi Darren, I know the switch has been a big change after so many years on Classic and we appreciate your feedback on the experience. Our support team has been working with you directly on your ticket, and we'll make sure they continue working with you on the subscription, your partner's billing and the freebanner link, since they can see your account.
So thi sis not true. I am not recieving any actual support, just promises of support. My subscription problem has been passed on to someone else, but I have heard nothing and my desperate requests for one to one support is being ignored. in addition my business partner who signed up for Leadspages a fre years ago but then stopped using it has now noticed that she is being billed $49 per month And toadd another problem aal of my one page leadspages extensions like aysgarthservices.co.uk/freebanner are now totallycorrupted and the qr codes on my print collateral i created to send people to that dedicated page just go to the website homepage. My concern is that you will go out of business at this rate. You have gone from being one of the highest ranked solutions of this type with the best support to absolute chaos.
Hi there, thanks for saying so, and I'm sorry the new builder has been a frustrating switch after years of things just working. That's not how we want it to feel. Two things that can help: the onboarding call you can book from the bottom right of your dashboard, where the team walks you through the new builder live, and the component-by-component guide Jay linked that maps what you knew in Classic to where it lives now. If you tell me the first thing that's tripping you up, I'll make sure the right person sees it. What were you trying to build when it stopped making sense?
I' m in the same situation as Darren. Leadpages used to be my best partner , things worked and I could focus in business. Now with the new builder, I don't get it
