Vague brief? Build a mini persona before you write

Neil Patel's Rachel Clinger has a fix for the brief that just says "target audience: marketing professionals." Build a mini persona for that one piece: the reader's goal, their top objection, the format they prefer, and the words they use for the problem. Pull it from one source you already have (GA4, on-site search, support notes), run one AI prompt, then cut anything the data doesn't back up. Same logic works for a landing page. When a brief gives you nothing but a job title, where do you go first to figure out who you're writing for? — Building Mini Personas to Write Content Your Target Audience Actually Wants Neil Patel — Rachel Clinger https://neilpatel.com/blog/audience-first-content/

My first stop would be whatever the client already hears from customers: support emails, sales call notes, reviews. A job title tells you who they are, not what's bugging them, and the words people use for the problem usually end up in the headline. Does anyone start somewhere else, like LinkedIn posts from people with that title? What is the best practice to improve performance and possible stakeholders approach?
