Are your product pages built for AI search or for blue links?

MarTech’s Mike Pastore argues that most ecommerce catalogs and product pages were built for the old model: short keyword queries, a results page, and a click. AI search tools now parse and synthesize product information directly, which may make thin product descriptions and boilerplate copy less useful than pages with rich, specific, comparison ready content. The piece is light on hard tactics, but it raises an interesting question for anyone creating landing pages or product pages: Have you actually changed how you write your page copy because of AI search, or is it still business as usual? _ AI search is changing ecommerce forever MarTech, Mike Pastore https://martech.org/ai-search-is-changing-ecommerce-forever/

Well I think to have the FAQ could bring you the opportunity to stay connected with the client or visitor snd dont go to another page to look for an answer...

Totally agree with fixing the version for people first. The only thing I'd add is that FAQ-style subheads probably do double duty here, since they're the same questions people type into Google and ChatGPT.

My take is that the copy changes that help AI search are mostly the ones that help a skimming visitor too. A plain answer near the top, the real questions people ask as subheads, and specifics instead of adjectives. If a page seems to need one version for people and another for AI, I'd fix the version for people first and check again. Well that is what I think, any suggestions or other points of view?
