WPP's growth play: grow the clients you have, not just the logo list

DoorDash just named WPP its global media partner, expanding a relationship that already existed instead of moving to a new shop. Marketing Dive notes the pattern: WPP also deepened its work with Estée Lauder and picked up Wendy's US media. The play right now is more scope with existing clients, not more pitches. If you run an agency or freelance, that's a reminder that the people who already trust you are the most cost-efficient growth you have. When was the last time you grew a client's scope instead of pitching a new one, and which was easier to close? — DoorDash doubles down on WPP, naming agency global media partner Marketing Dive — Peter Adams https://www.marketingdive.com/news/doordash-doubles-down-on-wpp-naming-agency-global-media-partner/831473/

Hey there, I want to jump into this conversation. I handle among different business affiliate campaigns, this is an excellent channel and the performance usually comes from partners you already have, and giving them a bit more support tends to beat signing ten new ones. For anyone building client funnels, the easiest expansion is often the step right after the one you built. If you made their opt-in page, the thank-you page and follow-up are the natural next conversation. Then one to one meetings will bring you more deals and specific performance. Hope this works for someone.
