[cta-box] Next week, we’re opening up our LeadPages marketplace the template authors. We’ve already sold several hundred of the templates in the LeadPages marketplace and we’re getting ready to open it up to any author next Tuesday. Here’s a gorgeous page we created to get marketplace authors to sign up. It has an explanation, reasons people should join and a testimonial section. Because we like to open source our business, we also wanted to make this template available to you. We’re calling this the call to action template and as you can see it’s absolutely beautiful. We’ll be using at as an author sign-up page for our marketplace but it can be used for so many different scenarios. It can be used as a blog homepage or a welcome gate, a standard lead magnet opt-in page, a product or service mini site, a nonsalesy promotional page, an affiliate recruiting page or a landing page for any industry where you need to provide numbers as proof elements. As you can see there’s no need to wait for a copywriter to create the ideal copy. You just drop I the headline and read description and then you let your numbers and figures do the talking for you. Coupled with the testimonial section, you can provide massive proof about your business without having to brag about yourself. This lets you establish credibility, strike a significant cord and move to the next step which is explained in the how does it work section where you can walk people through the step by step process of signing up for your list ultimately leading the person down the page to the call to action button. Just in case the visitor hasn’t seen enough proof that you deliver value, this section at the bottom shows the major brands you’ve worked with provide even more social proof. This page is so simple but oh so powerful. Let’s jump into the LeadPages builder and look at how to customize this page for a consultation business. Go to My.LeadPages.net and log in. Everything on the page is completely customizable. So you can change out the banner image with an image from your own image bank. You can edit the headline text with the compelling headline for your consulting business. If you wanted to edit the subhead, you could also do that. Next you can easily edit this brief description of your business by clicking on it and just typing in a description. Then we’ll move down and edit our business data to reflect stats about us and you can edit every element in this section or if you didn’t want to use this section at all you could click on the gear icon and select hide. But let’s edit the text. Since we’re not doing math, we’ll swap out all the mathematical symbols for attractive bullets. Next lets pop over to the styles tab and customize a color of this section to reflect our branding. Just click on an element and drag the color picker to what color you’d like to use. When you’re done customizing, click back to the content tab and let’s add a testimonial about your business. I’m going to add an image of my customer. But you could also add in your own picture with a personal quote that pinpoints your consulting business philosophy or a picture of a famous historical person with a quote that’s relevant to your ideal audience. If you don’t have a testimonial, or you don’t want to use this section like with all others you can simply hide it by clicking the gear and selecting hide. Now let’s customize a how does it work section so people know how they can get a quote for a consultation piece. Let’s edit step 1 with what a person wanting a consultation should do. We’ll update the image here to the right. now since we don’t have three steps we’ll hide step 2 altogether. To do this again you click on the gear and select hide. Now let’s customize the information we’ll receive from our perspective customer. I’ll click on the button and by default this would trigger a LeadBox where you can collect multiple form fields. As a reminder a LeadBox is our two-step opt-in process where a visitor clicks on a button and then the LeadBox pop up. These LeadBoxes have been proven time and time again to boost conversions. However, you can also have this button go to a URL of your choice such as your online appointment calendar. We’re going to have a go to a LeadBox though so we’ll select show opt-in form. Before I edit that form, I’m going to change my button text here. Now to set up this integration I’ll click on click here to edit the opt-in form. Since I’m using this LeadBox to function as more of a contact form than a form for building an email list, I’m going to use LeadPages lead notifications feature. This feature will send all data a visitor enters into this form straight to your email inbox so you can follow up with them right away. This is a great feature to use if your top priority is following up with your prospects right away with a phone call or a custom email reply instead of building an email list. However if you’d like to add the email addresses you collect with this feature to an email list you manage with a service like Mailchimp or AWeber, you can absolutely do that manually. And if you’re a LeadPages user you can now integrate with HubSpot and SalesForce. Whatever integration option you choose you’re able to collect multiple form fields like name, email, phone or comments. If you’d like to collect other data, you can change the present text to collect other information. I can also swap the LeadBox images for images of my brand or I can hide them altogether. Now let’s enter a URL for the thank you page people will see after they opt in. Now let’s name the page. And once we’ve named the page, we need to enter in our SEO tags for this page. These are very important to add not only for search engine optimization but for when people share this page on social media. When people share this page on social media, it uses this information to populate the post title and description. If they’re left blank, it uses a page URL so it only makes sense that we want to populate this with text that markets this page correctly instead of just leaving it blank. We’ll also add in keywords relating to this page and then when we’re done, we’ll save the page. If I’d like to check to see if this page looks okay on the tablet or a smart phone, I can do that right inside of LeadPages. I’ll just click on this tablet button to scroll through the page on a tablet and you can see that it looks great. Or I can click on the phone button and I can scroll through this page on a smart phone and again you can see it looks fantastic. When I click publish LeadPages gives me a URL that I can use to instantly view the page and here again this page is looking great. Back in the publishing window there are a few more options. You can publish this page to WordPress, publish the page to Facebook as a Facebook tab or you can download the file and put it on your own server. If you’re not a LeadPages customer, this can be a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you’ll need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer.
