[cta-box] Your blog homepage could potentially be causing you thousands of leads. Most times, a blog homepage is not set up to collect email subscriptions or leads even though it’s usually the most visited page on the blog. We’re going to show you how to easily change that by using this new blog homepage. Usually, your blog homepage is set up to show the most recent index of blogposts. A homepage like this generally only gets about a half of a percent of their visitors to subscribe to your blog including first time visitors. With our blog homepage template, usually between 5 and 10% of the people that see this page will end up joining your subscriber base. Often you can see a 10 to 20x increase in conversions and ultimately growth for your business. This page allows you to start capturing leads as soon as they come to your homepage with an opt-in immediately at the top of the page. If a person coming here doesn’t want to opt in just yet, there are testimonials to add credibility and social proof to up your status to someone coming into your blog. It all adds to someone’s first impression as they get to your blog. If they don’t want to opt-in for your lead magnet, they can continue on your blog by clicking this button. Let’s quickly customize this page and then install it as a blog homepage on a WordPress site. Go to My.LeadPages.net and enter a username and password and then once we’re in the member’s area, find the blog homepage template and select use this template. Then from the drop down, select the market you’re in. Like with all pages in LeadPages, you simply click on something to edit it. So change the headline, then I’m going to change the image of Will to an image of Clay and I’m going to only show two testimonials down here. So I’ll go over to the content section and find testimonials #3 and click on the I icon to hide it. At the bottom of the page, I’ll click on read the blog button and add my blog URL here. Next, I need to set up the page with my auto-responder so I can collect leads. I’ll go to the opt-in button and just click it. Then the opt-in integration settings come up. I’ll select what email service provider I want to integrate the page with and wish list to add people to. If you’d like to collect additional information such as first name, last name, phone numbers, addresses, zip codes, you can add those to the form here too. Finally, I need to turn on the LeadMagnet delivery system so when someone opts in for my LeadMagnet, LeadPages will seamlessly handle sending that out for me. So I’ll select a LeadMagnet from the dropdown and now when someone opts in not only will they be added to my list, they’ll be sent this LeadMagnet immediately. Now that I’m done customizing the page I’ll just name the page and then save the page. Now I want to publish this page via WordPress and we have instructions that are knowledge based on how to easily install the LeadPages WordPress plug-in and support is here to help with that if you have any questions. Assuming that the LeadPages plug-in is already installed, here’s what we’ll need to do to set the page we just customized as our blog homepage. We’ll log into WordPress and click on the LeadPages plug-in. I’ll select add new then select homepage. Then from the dropdown, I’ll select the page I just created in my LeadPages account then when I click publish, the page we just created will be published as my blog homepage. So let’s go see it in action. Here’s the blog before I refreshed my browser and now here’s the page I just created as my blog home page live on my blog and it looks fantastic, it’s mobile responsive so it will display correctly on any size screen and most importantly I can now effectively collect opt-ins when people come to my blog homepage. We’re going to fill on the information and opt in. You’ll see that I’m then routed to the blog index as well. If you’re not a LeadPages customer this process can be a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you’ll need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer. If you’re a developer, click on the link below and opt in to receive this template and our LeadMagnet delivery system will deliver them to you. Modify the HTML and CSS using your coding skills or the coder you’ve hired, integrate the page with your auto-responder, WordPress etc., get your landing page code that you’ve generated and finally publish the page. We’ve found that if you’re not a LeadPages customer, typically it will cost around $300 for a coder to customize and publish the page for you. If you are a LeadPages customer, you can publish unlimited pages and do all the customization within minutes, just head to www.LeadPages.net and click on the button below the video to get LeadPages.
